ConVis Names FY 2008 Board Leadership

Joe Craver to Lead ConVis Board

Joe W. Craver, founder of Galaxie Management, is the fiscal year 2008 (July 1, 2007-June 30, 2008) Chairman of the Board of the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau (ConVis). Craver will lead the 37-member governing body, including a thirteen member executive committee.
Joining Craver on the executive committee are First Vice Chairman Jim Oddo, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Atlas Hotels, Inc.; Second Vice Chairman Andy Fichthorn, General Manager, SeaWorld San Diego; Treasurer Tom Voss, President, The Grand Del Mar Resort; and Secretary Susie Baumann, owner of the Bali Hai and Lighthouse restaurants.
Rounding out the executive committee are Marketing Committee Chairman Ted Kanatas, General Manager, Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego; Sales Committee Chairman Joe Terzi, Senior Vice President, Operations, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Southern California & Nevada; Public Affairs & Communications Committee Chairman Mick Musella, Deputy Director, Zoological Society of San Diego; Travel Industry Sales Committee Chairman Kevin Konopasek, General Manager, The Dana on Mission Bay; and Membership Committee Chairman Patrick Fearn, President, Certified Folder Display.
In addition, the executive committee includes the Bureau’s immediate past chairman, Lorin Stewart of Historic Tours of America, and two at large positions held by Victoria Hobbs of Corporate Developers of America, and Mohsen Khaleghi, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Mission Bay.
