Hornblower Cruises & Events is pleased to introduce Inspiration Hornblower, San Diego’s largest charter yacht available to groups of up to 1000 guests. At 222-feet in length and three decks high, this super-sized yacht is the largest charter vessel available in Southern California. Hornblower’s goal is to create the perfect space for dining and entertaining large groups in one magnificent space that features the inspiring views of San Diego Bay!
The Inspiration is an extravagant catamaran-style yacht with two enclosed ballroom-sized decks with comfortable seating for up to 600 guests on one deck. The yacht is designed specifically for the corporate, incentive and association business and events. Inspiration is undergoing renovations at San Diego’s renowned Knight & Carver Shipyard where many of the finest private yachts contract premium upgrades.
Since its began doing events in San Diego in November 2006, the Inspiration amazing 5 million dollar remodel, including the addition of 50 custom-designed 6’ x 6’ panoramic windows to feature the ultimate San Diego views, has been received tremendously by convention groups, DMC's, associations, the press, the media and industry writers. High ceilings, large parquait dance floors are and roomy stage areas are not typically available for groups who want to entertain and dine on the water. With the New Inspiration Hornblower, though, groups up to 1000 can experience everything they did in giant hotel ballrooms and at convention center spaces.
The yacht is detailed with many boutique touches such as tourchiers, granite counter tops and bars that are 30 feet long on two decks, brand new fixtures in powder rooms and specialty food and beverage presentation areas found on both interior decks. The interior has been designed using contemporary earth tones and water influenced colors and textures.
Also unique to the Inspiration is the electrical capacity to produce full-scale theatrical, musical and corporate productions. The sky deck which is 30 feet off the water, and large enough to land a helicopter upon, can accommodate over 700 people in theatre style seats for a “concert under the stars” or a daytime skateboard exhibition.
The high ceilings, large windows and generous deck spaces are comparable to what can be found on a cruise ship. These grand features have sparked the imagination of many special event designers and meeting planners as the yacht nears its 2nd year anniversary in San Diego. Inspiration continues to be booked for a wide range of event types, from local fundraisers to national TV productions and trade shows, gala corporate dinners, concerts and promotions of many kinds. Inspiration is a surprising new and exciting addition to the San Diego Embarcadero and it uniquely berthed exactly across the the beautiful County Administration Building enhancing the already unique and pictureque waterfront landscape.

The Inspiration will be available for a series of Sunday Champagne Brunch in March 2008 and available for Mother's Day, Easter and Father's Day Brunch.
