Cafe Coyote Wins 2008 Award for "Best Mexican"
Recognized at Gold Medallion Award for Third Year
Café Coyote Old Town was recognized at the Gold Medallion Awards ceremony, winning “Best Mexican Dinner House.” This is the third win for Café Coyote in this category, recognizing the restaurant’s excellence in Mexican fare and friendly service. The Gold Medallion Awards are voted on entirely by members of the San Diego restaurant community, making these awards a true honor.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Café Coyote Old Town continues to be a cornerstone of the San Diego’s historic Old Town community and is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. With newly renovated banquet rooms and great indoor and outdoor patio seating, Café Coyote Old Town continues to be a place for guests to enjoy traditional Mexican cuisine and entertainment, without crossing the boarder. The commitment and passion Goetz has shown for her community is the same passion that she has for her staff at Café Coyote Old Town. She takes great pride in having employees who have been with the restaurant since its inception in 1989.
In its 24th year of recognizing San Diego’s culinary excellence and prestige, the Gold Medallion Awards are hosted annually by the CRA to honor superiority in a variety of categories. CRA is the largest and longest serving nonprofit restaurant trade association in the nation. Representing the restaurant and hospitality industries since 1906, the CRA is made up of approximately 20,000 foodservice establishments in California.
