Surfing and Stand Up Paddle Program at Loews Coronado

Situated on a private 15-acre peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and Coronado Bay, Loews Coronado Bay Resort’s island setting offers the perfect blend of sun and surf. Taking full advantage of the resort’s direct access to the Silver Strand State Beach, the Coronado Surfing Academy is on-site for surfing and stand up paddle (SUP) lessons.

Featuring two miles of beach break with white sandy beaches, the Silver Strand’s small waves are ideal for beginner surfers. In addition to surfing and SUP lessons, resort guests can also take home customized surfboards through a partnership between Loews Coronado Bay Resort and INT Soft Boards, a leading surfboard company based in North County San Diego. Guests choose between a variety of sizes and colors (hot pink, blue, black, white and lime green) and can even add personal photos or other graphics to the back of their board.
