If you are venturing a few minutes farther from the Bay Inn for more sun, don’t miss the cliffs in La Jolla, the surf in Pacific Beach, the charm of Ocean Beach, or the attractions in Mission Beach.
Golf lovers will find themselves surrounded by some of the best courses in the world here in San Diego, including Torrey Pines in La Jolla, a favorite course for the PGA Tour and other invitational golf tournaments.
A few additional minutes north on I-5 will get you to Del Mar, Encinatas and Solana Beach, home to some of the best breaks in the country, a surfer’s paradise. Or, check out Carlsbad, home to the Premium Outlet Mall, a shopper paradise. Carlsbad is also home to family favorite: Legoland!
For local shopping, your front desk attendant will help direct you to any of these locations: Fashion Valley Mall in Mission Valley, Westfield Mall in Mission Valley, Horton Plaza downtown in the Gaslamp Quarter, UTC in La Jolla, or the Hazard Center at the middle of it all. All of these malls are easy to get to and fun places to shop, eat, and relax.
