Case Wines Available for Purchase
At This Year's San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival
Producers of the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival announced today the launch of its first-ever Case Wine Sales program sponsored by San Diego-based wine retailer, Wine Steals. All 170 wineries participating in the Festival’s Grand Event will have the opportunity to put their wines into the case sales program offering customers the chance to purchase featured varietals at discounts ranging from 15-20 percent off, said Michelle Metter, the festival’s co-producer.
“More than ever we recognize the importance of creating sales channels for our participating wineries within the content of our festival,” said Metter. “Our Case Wine Sales program will be a win for wineries and consumers alike, connecting enthusiasts in attendance at the festival with wines they wish to purchase immediately. The program allows wineries to sell case lots of their product while consumers benefit from discounts found only during the event.”
The case sales tent, sponsored by Wine Steals, will be open to Festival goers during the Grand Tasting on November 21 from 11-4pm. Wine enthusiasts will have the opportunity to purchase cases of their favorite festival wines at a discount. Cases will be shipped to customers’ homes directly or will be available for pick up at one of Wine Steals’ San Diego County locations.
The Case Wine Sales program exposes participating wineries to over 5,500 avid wine consumers who are expected to attend the Festival’s Grand Tasting. Participating wineries appear in pre-event promotion, on the web, and designated at the Grand Event as a Case Wine participant.
A complete list of wineries participating in Wine Steals Case Sales Tent will be available November 1, 2009 on the Festival website. Wineries interested in participating in the Festival should contact Ashley Wheeler at wheeler@fastforwardevents.com or at 858-578-9463.
