America's Cup Yachts Move Permanently to Maritime Museum
Dennis Conner's America's Cup Experience
Maritime Museum now new home for race yachts & 'America'
Value, Value, Value.....that is what you get when you ride one of famous yachtsman Dennis Conner's America's Cup yachts and the famous yacht 'America'. In 2009 the 3 famous yachts moved permanently to the 'Maritime Museum of San Diego'. "What this means for all of our public guests is that they get FREE admission to the wonderful museum facilities any time they ride one of our yachts"....say's Warren Allan, marketing Director for Dennis Conner's America's Cup Experience in San Diego. The free admission is a $14 adult value fully absorbed into the standard fares charged for the America's Cup yachts. "That's right, " says Allan. "We have not adjusted our sailing rates since starting business in 2003. We simply absorbed the museum admission price into our own to provide exceptional value for our guests."
The Maritime museum has hours of entertainment for children and adults alike. Between the 'Star of India', the movie Pirate ship 'Surprise', submarines and a host of model displays on board the ferry 'Berkeley' there is a lot to see. "There are times that we have seen folks still at the museum 2 1/2 hours after they have disembarked our sail", ...say's Allan. This very prominent location on the waterfront is easy to find, parking is convenient and the America's Cup yachts are right at home amidst all the other yachting history.
