It’s exhilarating to see California Gray Whales off the coast of San Diego during their annual southern migration in the winter. Hornblower’s Whale & Dolphin Watching Adventure is exciting and educational featuring live narration by experienced Captains with interaction from professional Naturalists trained by the San Diego Natural History Museum. Only Hornblower Captains exclusively welcome children and guests to the wheelhouse for questions, interaction and photos. For your comfort, indoor and outdoor seating is available as well as a snack bar with hot and cold foods items and souvenirs. We suggest you bring a jacket to enjoy the outdoors.

Reservations are not necessary. however, you can purchase tickets in advance online or purchase your tickets 30 minutes prior to boarding at the Hornblower ticket booth with Navy Blue Awning located at 1066 North Harbor Drive, downtown San Diego. Cruises depart twice daily at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Please call ahead of time to assure wheelchair accessibility. A full snack bar is available onboard. Adult ticket rate is $30.00 ($35 on Saturdays) and children ages 4-12 years are $15.00. Discounts are available for seniors, military personnel and groups.
