NEW PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS
U.S. citizens traveling on cruises that begin and end in the same U.S. port must show proof of citizenship (such as an original or certified copy of a birth certificate) and a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license). Effective June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens traveling on cruises that begin and end in different U.S. ports, or begin or end in a foreign port, must have a passport or other recognized document. For a complete list of accepted documents, see www.travel.state.gov. U.S. Alien Residents need a valid Alien Resident Card. Canadian citizens must present a valid passport. Non-U.S. citizens need a valid passport and a valid, unexpired U.S. Multiple Re-entry Visa, if applicable.

SECURITY – PIER ACCESS
Due to increased security, the following measures have been enacted:
- If driving, you may drive onto the pier by presenting your ID and a ship ticket for sailing on that specific date.
- If arriving by air or motorcoach, all luggage must have your name and address attached.
- You will be required to show picture ID and ship ticket in order to enter the cruise ship terminal.
- Again, your picture ID and ship ticket must be shown for check-in along with your passport, birth certificate, etc.
- Picture ID and security card must be shown at the gangway in order to embark ship.
A picture ID and ship ticket are required upon accessing the pier until boarding of the ship.
CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL PARKING
Parking, long-term and daily, is available at the Lane Field facility located on Broadway between Pacific Highway and North Harbor Drive. The rate is $15.00 a day and space is limited. Long-term parking is also available at Park & Ride lots near the Terminal. They service both the Cruise Ship Terminal and the Airport. Rates vary from $10.00 to $24.00 per day and may include secured, covered parking. Shuttle service is available at no charge.

DIRECTIONS TO THE TERMINAL
Driving South on Interstate 5: Take I-5 into downtown San Diego. Exit Sassafras (airport exit). Proceed straight on exit road, which turns into Kettner, until Laurel. Turn right on Laurel and proceed west until Harbor Drive. Make a left on Harbor Drive. From that point, the cruise ship terminal is approximately one-half mile on the right.
Driving North on Interstate 5: Take I-5 into downtown San Diego. Exit Hawthorn (airport exit). Hawthorn steers west toward the San Diego Bay waterfront and Harbor Drive. At Harbor Drive, make a left. From that point, the cruise ship terminal is approximately one-half mile on the right.
SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The San Diego International Airport is less than a 10- minute drive from the B Street Cruise Terminal. Access information on flights, various types of ground transportation including car rental and shuttle services, long-term parking and security-related tips by visiting

AMTRAK
Taking the train offers a great alternative to travelers who wish to avoid busy freeways. The Santa Fe Train Depot is less than a 10-minute drive from the B Street Cruise Terminal. Research your trip, find the best fare and book your tickets by visiting the
