Chad Farran
Chad Farran has called San Diego home for almost 20 years. “The people that I’ve met here have had the biggest effect on my music. Friends, lovers and fellow musicians have all inspired me.” A resident of Ocean Beach, Farran enjoys playing at the area’s favorite venue, Winston’s. “And if I ever get [myself] out of Ocean Beach, I enjoy House of Blues, Belly Up, or any venues that have good bands. Lestat’s is a favorite for acoustic music.” Local artists Farran enjoys include Gregory Page, Transfer and Old Man Hands, in which he currently plays the drums. Farran believes that San Diego offers a very collaborative environment for musicians, “I play in 6 or so bands and everyone is so cool about sharing ideas and talents with each other.” More information:myspace.com/chadfarran
