Hit the town before you hit the ballpark

By Brian Hilemon

Before a Padres game you have your choice of dining options just steps from PETCO Park. From made to order subs, great steakhouses, and hip hotspots, the Ballpark District delivers delicious options at any price range.

Dussini Mediterranean Bistro
Located next to the forthcoming Hard Rock Hotel, Dussini is an ideal pregame gathering spot. Dussini features a bar and billiard room and has played host Padres pregame broadcasts.

Gaslamp Strip Club
This great Gaslamp eatery features grill your own steaks in a lounge atmosphere. They also feature late dining, so come back after the game for cocktails and more great food.

The Palm
Just around the corner from PETCO located at the corner of 6th & J, The Palm is a classic American steakhouse. The Palm rolls out a special “Baseball Menu” on gamedays.

Quiznos Subs @ PETCO Park
A great location, just behind the Park at the Park. Grab a toasted sub and take it in with you, just remember no beverages other than unopened bottled water are permitted inside the ballpark.

Lou & Mickey’s
Located on Fifth Ave at the Southern entrance to the Gaslamp Quarter, just 2 blocks from the ballpark. A fine menu of American favorites awaits including steaks, seafood, pastas and cocktails.

Red Pearl Kitchen
For the discriminatingly hip, Red Pearl is a great choice. A few blocks from the Ballpark, this modern Pan-Asian restaurant is a delight to all of your senses.

Rockin’ Baja Lobster
Great Baja seafood restaurant modeled after a local favorite, the Mexican fishing town of Puerto Nuevo. Order up a famous Baja Bucket® and you won’t be disappointed.

Soleil @ K
Located inside the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter, just around the corner from the Western Metals Building entrance to the ballpark. Enjoy great California cuisine in a comfortable setting before a game.

Tin Fish
Enjoy a casual quick-serve seafood restaurant just one block from PETCO Park. Tin fish offers live music on their large outdoor patio and great drinks from Hepburn’s bar.
