If you only have one day to see Coronado, make the most of it. Take in the sights on two wheels, visit a family-owned brewpub and end the day at one of the most famous hotels—and beaches—in the world.
Take in the fantastic waterfront views while pedaling through one of Southern California's most beautiful cycle paths on Coronado Island. After, cool down with a cold one at Coronado Brewing, which boasts nine signature brews and delicious eats. Later, gather around a fire pit on the beach at the Hotel Del Coronado and savor toasty s'mores next to the ocean waves.
Wake up and gear up for a bayside bike ride. Rent a bicycle from Bikes and Beyond and enjoy an easy 10-mile ride between Coronado and Imperial Beach along a portion of the Bayshore Bikeway. Cyclists pedal parallel to the beach and the glistening San Diego Bay along this route, often referred to as the most beautiful and cyclist-friendly bike path in Southern California.
Sip and sample craft brews at the family owned Coronado Brewing, famous for its top-rate handcrafted beers and delicious food like wood-fired pizzas and fresh seafood, a perfect spot to fuel up after a long ride. Nine signature beers are brewed on-site including Idiot IPA, Coronado Islander IPA (“a liquid expression of hometown pride”) and Stingray IPA.
When the sun goes down, fires light up the beach in front of iconic Hotel del Coronado. Guests at The Del can enjoy a special nighttime ritual with their toes in the sand, as the hotel provides all the fixings for s’mores at your private fire pit, along with a fun Roast menu of other campfire foods and spirited drinks. All can be enjoyed under a blanket of stars with the rolling surf as a soundtrack.
