Summer Movies in the Park

Looking for a Fun, Free and Fabulous Family Activity in Your Neighborhood? Summer Movies in the Park is a perfect chance to relax and enjoy a safe and special night under the stars. Come early and get a good seat! Movies will begin at dusk. Movies are subject to change.

Movies by the Lake

Don't spend another Friday night sitting on the couch in front of the TV. Come sit under the stars at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve and watch a movie on one of the biggest outdoor screens known to man. Snack shack available for your munching pleasure.

Friday Flix by the Bay

The Port of San Diego will host Friday Flix by the Bay this summer, a free film series held every other Friday evening at different waterfront parks. The series is designed to bring residents and tourists alike to enjoy the Port's beautiful public spaces including parks and piers. Each film will include pre-show entertainment, activities and concessions beginning at 6:30 PM.

Film in the Garden

Based on the popular and long running summer program Screen on the Green, the San Diego Museum of Art offers film screenings that take place at sunset in the heart of Balboa Park. Viewers are invited to "pack a picnic, grab a blanket, and bring their friends" to enjoy a leisurely evening in the May S. Marcy Sculpture Garden. Traditionally, more than 800 viewers attend each film.

Stone Movie Nights

Join Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station every Tuesday night for Stone Movie Nights! Once a week throughout the summer, the brewery shows movies on a twelve-foot screen in their garden. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, grab a beer at the bar, and settle down on the grass for a fabulous night of great food, great beer and great cinema! Remember to bring extra layers: even though we're in SoCal, nights can still get pretty chilly. Belly up to the movie night bar across the stone bridge for a selection of special movie night munchies, coffee, and of course, beer!

Flicks on Bricks

Join the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library on their outdoor patio for balmy summer nights and screenings of classic cinemas al fresco. Series tickets for the open air theater include four memorable films and delightful summer wine pairings selected by Barbara Baxter.

Little Italy Summer Film Festival

Travel through the countryside and cities of Italy while never leaving San Diego on Saturdays throughout the summer at the Little Italy Summer Film Festival in Amici Park. Make it a date night by enjoying an amazing dinner at one of the diverse restaurants throughout the Italian neighborhood.

Swashbuckling Movie Series

This summer, the Headquarters at Seaport is hosting free screenings of swashbuckling classics in the center's open air courtyard. Movie goers can come early and enjoy dinner and drinks from Puesto, Seasons 52 or EddieV's, and nibble on sweet bites from Dallmann Chocolates and Venissimo Cheese during the films.
