The Theatre in Old Town - The Male Intellect: an oxymoron?

Hailed by critics as "wickedly funny," this clever, one-man comedy celebrates the gender gap and explores the age-old question "What do women want?"

San Diego Opera - Così fan tutte

Experience a cultural high note with this sensational production from the San Diego Opera. Set in 1912 at the famed Hotel del Coronado, this is the story of two engaged couples, the challenge of fidelity and the lure of seduction - a breezy farcical opera set to some of Mozart's most enchanting music. La Jolla Music Society - The China Philharmonic

Don't miss this landmark moment in world history as The China Philharmonic, the first privately owned orchestra in China, makes its first world tour. This La Jolla Music Society engagement is one of only 20 concerts on its American tour. The program includes Guo Wenjing's Das Lied von der Erde, Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Brahms' Piano Quartet in G minor, Opus 2, and Rimsky-Korsakov's Overture to a Tsar's Bride.

This introduction to the latest trends in contemporary East Asia art showcases 22 cutting-edge Chinese, Japanese and Korean artists who use the past to map the future. Works include traditional techniques, such as calligraphic drawing and brush painting, and new technologies, like digital imaging and video projection.
