Opening Day Hats Contest Take part in this colorful Opening Day tradition to win the Grand Prize of a Hot Springs Envoy Spa. Contest categories include Best Racing Theme, Funniest/Most Outrageous, Most Glamorous, and Best Fresh Flowers. Sign up between 11:30am & 3pm at in the Plaza de Mexico. |
| July 24 | Family Fun Day Some of the activities for this special day will include The Rad Hatter (create and decorate your own hat), rock climbing walls and bungee trampolines, a surf simulator, carnival games, pony rides, a face painter, inflatable games and rides, an obstacle course, magic shows and more! Free admission for children; adults $5. 1-6pm in the Infield. |
| August 13 | Microbrew Festival & Infield Concert Try some of the finest microbrews from more than 20 breweries starting at noon in the Infield Pacific Pavilion. Stay for a free concert featuring Cake following the races. Free with paid racetrack admission. |
| August 13 | Western Regional Chili Cookoff & Salsa Contest Stop by the Infield and spice up your day with a free Chili sample, select your favorite cook and take a shot on the mechanical bull. |
| August 27 | Reggae Festival During the races, listen to Reggae music from Common Sense and try samples from over 20 of your favorite microbrews in the Infield Pacific Pavilion. Following the races, Reggae star Ziggy Marley will perform on the main Infield stage. Free with paid racetrack admission. |
| Every Friday | 4 O'Clock Fridays After the races, catch some of the best concerts in town. The entertainment line-up includes G. Love and Special Sauce (7/22), Super Diamond (7/28), Violent Femmes (8/5), Donavon Frankenreiter (8/12), Blues Traveler (8/26) and a Special Guest (9/2) The first four Fridays, concerts begin at approximately 7:30pm; the last three Fridays, concerts begin at approximately 7pm. Concerts (subject to change) are held in the Plaza de Mexico and are free with paid racetrack admission. |
| Every Sat & Sun | Family Weekends These fun-filled weekends (including Labor Day) will feature magic shows, a GameZone, pony rides, face painters, inflatable games and rides and more! Free admission for children; adults $5. 1-6pm in the Infield. |

Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Racing
Mark your calendars for 43 days of live Thoroughbred racing at the Fairgrounds

Family Fun Day, Reggae Festival, 4 O'Clock Fridays featuring free concerts after
