Feel the pride as the 31st Annual San Diego LGBT Pride Celebration
kicks off. This year's festivities include the "Spirit of Stonewall Rally," a colorful parade through Hillcrest and a two-day festival at Marston Point in Balboa Park. An eclectic mix of non-stop entertainment fueled by local and international talent will be offered at this year's festival and will include everything from rock, pop and alternative to jazz, country and hip-hop. Main stage headliners include stellar vocalist and composer Cris Williamson; BETTY, a five-piece alternative rock ensemble; Niki Harris; and the British group, BowWowWow.

Festival admission: $12 one-day pass; $20 two-day pass
Parade & Festival Parking: Parking is available in the parking lot off in the Old Navy Hospital parking lot, off President's Way in Balboa Park. Free shuttle service is available Saturday and Sunday. A shuttle map with routes and times can be found at www.sdpride.org
The Spirit of Stonewall Rally - Friday, July 29; 7:00pm
Festival main stage, Balboa Park. Vocalist Cris Williamson will perform at the
beginning and the end of the rally. Free.
LGBT Pride Parade - Saturday, July 30; 11am-2pm
The 1.4 mile parade route starts at University Ave and Normal Street, then travels west to 6th Ave., then south to Upas St. This lively and colorful parade will feature over 200 entries including musical floats, costumes and marching bands. Free.
LGBT Pride Festival - Saturday, July 30; noon-10pm. Sunday, July 31;
11am-8pm
Festival events will be a mixture of live entertainment, dancing, food,
and exhibits. Highlights for this two-day festival will include a Country Western Village with dance floor and saloon, Children's Garden, Leather Expo, Coffee
Exchange, three beer gardens, Rhythms of Nations dance tent, Art of Pride (LGBT local artists) and over 300 vendors. Marston Point, Balboa Park.
Front Runners and Walkers San Diego Race - Saturday, July 30; 7:30am
The "Run and Stride with Pride," a 5k run and 1.5 mile walk, takes
place at Sixth & Laurel, Balboa Park. No registration necessary. Free.
