Get ready for a frightfully good time this Halloween as San Diego's attractions are transformed into haunted wonderlands of goblins, ghosts and ghouls. Check out what's brewing at SeaWorld's Creepy Halloween Sleepover, LEGOLANDS' Brick-or-Treat and the Birch Aquarium's Haunted Aquarium. You'll also scare up some fun on the Ghosts & Gravestones Tour from Old Town Trolley Tours, The Haunted Trail in Balboa Park and at the Scream Zone at the Del Mar "Scaregrounds."

Mystery and magic surround this two-hour trolley and walking tour
through some of San Diego's most haunted sites. Climb aboard for a
night of frightseeing which features the William Heath Davis House in the
historic Gaslamp Quarter, the Victorian Villa Montezuma and the Whaley House, believed to be one of the most haunted houses in America. A spirited walk
through one of the oldest cemeteries in San Diego rounds out the evening.

Spooky (but fun!) haunted pre-shows will run before the last IMAX® film of the day. Haunted Planetarium is featured every day in October at no extra charge.

Take a stroll trough the Park you'll never forget! This haunted trail of terror begins at Marston Point, just east of 6th and Juniper in Balboa Park.
Hours: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7pm-11pm; Friday & Saturday, 7pm - midnight. (Closed Monday & Tuesday except for 10/24/ 10/25 & 10/31).
Admission: $12.99 at the door (not recommended for children ages 10 and under).

Experience more frights and chills then ever before with three, all-new attractions at the Scream Zone. The Haunted Hayride will take you through areas of the Fairgrounds where ghosts, zombies and specters dwell; the House of Horror will feature 25 rooms filled with mazes of terror and a "spinning tunnel;" and the 3-D Ghost Maze will have you running for your life from creepy 3-D creatures. A Scream Zone Carnival (from 10/20), live entertainment on selected nights, games, and carnival rides will add to the spooky fun! Not recommended for ages 10 & under.

Get ready for some ghoulishly good family fun when dead student Jonny
Warner, a casualty of the local nuclear plant, reappears in hopes of completing
his senior year in high school. This musical spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies is
recommended for ages 8 and up. Be sure to dress up for the Halloween
Costume contest that will take place at the October 30 matinee.

Brave adventurers (4th-8th grade) can explore the park after dark with activities that include marine-life education, Halloween crafts and games and an overnight stay at the Shark Encounter, where participants will sleep just feet away from
one of the largest displays of sharks in the world!
Admission: $140 and includes dinner, breakfast, a T-shirt, structured education
program and admittance the next day to the park. Advance reservations required; parents not required as chaperones.

You'll be bewitched by entertainment that features a daily costume contest
(ages 12 and under); a stilt-walking balloon artist, "Count Brickula;" a wandering werewolf, "Howlin' Howlie;" Merlin's Magical Apprentice with his dynamic magical sphere play; and a jokester, "Jester Funny Bones." You'll also have a wickedly good time posing with a gigantic LEGO pumpkin or on the kid-sized Brick-or-Treat Trail full of spooky LEGO-themed homes for safe and fun trick-or-treating.

Spooky Halloween nighttime animals await you during this family slumber
party in the Museum. Get face to face with a bat; listen for the hoots of a
mysterious live owl. Join this fun-packed evening of hands-on learning
activities, crafts, a movie, and more! Evening snack and continental breakfast
with Ms. Frizzle included.

Discover spooky science exhibits with creatures that glow, creeps from the deep, and more! A contest for the best marine-themed, scariest and most creative costumes is held each evening at 7:30pm. A slime lab, haunted maritime tales, trick-or-treating, carnival games, and ghoulish grub add to the spooktacular fun!

Watch scary movies from the deck of the Star of India, regarded as one of
San Diego's most haunted places. Date Night (adults only) will feature The
Island on 10/28; Family Night will feature The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms on
10/29. Movies are shown on a special sail and the areas below deck are lit only
by candlelight to add to the spooky fun!
