Feel the pride as the 30th Annual San Diego LGBT Pride Celebration kicks off. This year's festivities include a Stonewall Rally at the Speckles Organ Pavilion, a colorful parade through Hillcrest and a two-day festival at Marston Point in Balboa Park. A diverse array of entertainment will include Berlin, international recording artist, Kristine W., La Internacional Sonora Show and world-famous musician, Maxine Nightingale. A special concert at the Starlight Bowl will feature k.d. lang with the San Diego Symphony.

The 1.4 mile parade route travels down University Avenue between
Normal Street and 6th Ave., down 6th to Ivy Lane. This lively and colorful
parade will feature over 200 entries including musical floats, costumes
and marching bands. Free.

July 31; noon-10pm Aug. 1; 11am-8pm | LGBT Pride Festival
Festival events will be a mixture of live entertainment, dancing, food
and exhibits. Highlights for this two-day festival will include a Country Western Village with dance floor and saloon, Children's Garden, Leather Expo, Coffee
Exchange, two beer gardens, Rhythms of Nations dance tent, a karaoke stage and over 200 exhibits and vendors. This year's headliners are Kristine W.
and Berlin. Marston Point, Balboa Park. Admission is $12 for a one-day pass
and $20 for a two-day pass.

The "Run and Stride with Pride," a 5k run and 1.5 mile walk, takes
place at Sixth & Laurel, Balboa Park. No registration necessary. Free.

Parade & Festival Parking
Parking is available in the parking lot off President's Way, Balboa Park. Free shuttle service is available Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1. A shuttle map with routes and times can be found under "Parade" information
