Midway Magic/San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum

Catch the wave of excitement June 7 as this floating museum opens on the decommissioned USS Midway, highlighting San Diego's rich military history. Visit the Island Superstructure, Flight Deck, Hangar Deck and portions of the Second Deck and view static aircraft displays of the Corsair A-7B, Phantom F-4S, Intruder A-6E and Hawkeye E-2C. Two exciting virtual flight simulation experiences will offer the chance to a ride in a flight simulation module or receive a pre-mission briefing before "flying" solo into the action.

SeaWorld San Diego

LEGOLAND® California

Climb aboard Coastersaurus for a thrilling ride through Dino Island filled with animated and life-size LEGO® brick dinosaurs. Dino Island will also feature Dig Those Dinos, an interactive area that will allow junior excavators to test their paleontology skills as they dig for "skeletal remains" of dinosaurs buried in sand pits.

The heat's on for the entire family to test their teamwork by racing near-life size LEGO fire trucks when Fun Town Fire Academy, a competitive interactive ride, opens May 28.

Mark your calendars for the opening of Miniland Florida on June 18. Cape Canaveral, Miami Beach and the famous Daytona International Speedway will be built out of LEGO bricks. You'll even be able to remotely race LEGO brick cars around the speedway.

San Diego Zoo

Oh, babies! Spring has arrived and so have the little ones! Swing by the "Absolutely Apes" habitat to view Cinta, a male Sumatran orangutan born March 5 to first-time mom, Indah. Cinta means "love and affection" in Bahasa, the official language of Sumatra.

It's marsupial mania at the koala exhibit with the birth of four new koala joeys. The two male and two female koalas range in age from 8 to 12 months, and have just recently emerged from each of their mother's pouch. You can see them on exhibit clinging to their mothers.

Born on April 22, a new baby bonobo (pygmy chimpanzee) has taken up temporary residence at the Children's Zoo after his mother was unable to care for him. Catch a glimpse of this yet unnamed male in the nursery where he receives milk every 2 to 3 hours.

Mei Sheng, the male panda cub born last summer is growing fast! Stop by the SBC Giant Panda Research Station from 10:30am-5pm daily to see him and his mother, Bai Yun. Little Mei Sheng's dad, Gao Gao, is on exhibit 9am-4:15pm daily.

San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park

Take a step back in time as more than 20 life-size robotic dinosaurs, ranging in size from a 4-foot baby Parasaurolophus to a towering 19-foot Omeisaurus, return to invade Dino Mountain thru September 6. Other Mesozoic monsters will include the fish-eating Baryonyx, the tail-spiked Stegosaurus, the plant-eating Brachiosaurus, and the towering and terrorizing Tyrannosaurus rex. And, for the first time in North America, the 18-foot Giganotosaurus will be on display.

Don't miss two new animal babies that can be seen daily from the Wgasa Bush Line Railway. Vus'musi or "Moose," born February 23, is the first African elephant to be born at the Park in 22 years! Fataki, which means "Firecracker," is a rare Somali wild ass born March 17. She can be seen exploring her environment with her mother, Lisha, and the rest of the wild ass herd.
