6/16/11 – 9/01/11 Welcome to the Conservancy’s First Annual Photography Competition. We invite photographers of all skills levels and ages to enter!

What to Enter:

We are looking for striking digital images of your experience hiking, biking, bird watching or horseback riding within the 94,000-acre planned San Dieguito River Park, www.sdrp.org. The San Dieguito River Park span over 55 miles from the crest of Volcan Mountain in Julian to the beach in Del Mar.

Preference will be given to photographs that include yourself and/or others enjoying an outdoor activity, such as hiking or biking, within the San Dieguito River Park.

How to Enter:

Please email all submissions to sdrvc@sdrvc.org, along with a completed Waiver Form, click here to download the form. Waiver Forms can be faxed to 858-356-4222, or scanned and emailed to sdrvc@sdrvc.org. Photos must be high resolution, or 6 at least megapixels, and each photo must include a caption, the location of the photo, the name of the photographer(s), and be an original work. If the photo(s) includes a person(s), please indicate in your submission that the proper releases form(s) or permission of the person(s) featured in the photograph have been acquired. Please no more than 5 submissions per person. Deadline for submissions is September 1, 2011. Please note: due to compatibility issues, we are now ONLY accepting photos via email at sdrvc@sdrvc.org. Winning Photos:

Contest Finalists, (1st, 2nd and 3r places) and any Honorable Mentions will receive prizes provided by REI. Please see below for the prizes for each place. Winning images will also be showcased in the Conservancy’s December 2011 Currents Newsletter, as well as on www.sdrvc.org.
