This year, CSSD will once again appear in the annual International Choreographer's Showcase, hosted by Culture Shock Los Angeles (CSLA) in Long Beach, CA. The weekend of awe-inspiring events and displays of talent begins on Friday with the Youth Showcase where our apprentice dancers from Mini, Mighty and Future Shocks across the Nation and Canada will come together to display their talent and show off the emerging future of Hip Hop. On Saturday, the big event kicks in to high gear when Culture Shock and Afta Shock troupes from each of the cities in our vast network and beyond come together to perform original pieces.
Culture Shock® Dance Troupe, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) hip-hop dance troupe dedicated to innovative performance, artist development, and community enrichment. Founded in 1993, Culture Shock San Diego is the originator of the world-wide network of Culture Shock® Dance Troupe, Inc.
CSSD consistently presents urban dance forms with the artistic excellence and professional dedication traditionally associated with ballet, modern, and other styles of dance. Our commitment to hip-hop dance as a highly entertaining, inspiring, and engaging art form is at the core of every activity and program that we offer.
