What better way to celebrate the New Year than at the 2008 San Diego Boat Show? Bring the family and ring in 2008 at the 20th annual San Diego Boat Show on January 3-6, 2008 at the San Diego Convention Center and Marriott Marina.
The in-water display at the Marriott Marina will be full to the brim with beautiful boats and yachts - power and sail. Once again this year, there will be the free sailing lessons in the marina – which is always a draw for attendees.
The Recreation Boating and Fishing Foundation will also be on hand with their enhanced “Take Me Fishing Center,” which made its debut last year. The interactive exhibit is making a handful of stops at boat shows across the country – and San Diego is the first stop on its national tour. The “Take Me Fishing Center” includes a casting pond, information stations, a mobile aquarium stocked with local fish as well as daily casting and fishing seminars. The Boat Show was expanded in 2007 by 25-percent because of the popularity and demand for this annual four-day event bringing the total number of boats and yachts for everyone to enjoy this year to more than 500.
The 2008 San Diego Boat Show will host a wide selection of boats - from 8-feet to 80-feet – sail and power – new models, new exhibitors, and new ways to enjoy the water for every budget. Plus, there is an expanded new accessories pavilion with an array of marine accessories, electronics, resources, and clothing.
The Port of San Diego is sponsoring the Big Bay Kids Area where families can enjoy interactive exhibits together and the popular Discover Boating center is always a great first stop for many show attendees. In addition there are numerous prizes for attendees and you can register as well for an on-line promotion for a $500 shopping spree at the show.
