Families looking to stretch their entertainment dollar need look no further than Balboa Park’s next Family Day on Saturday, October 30, 2010.
Museums throughout the park will offer free entry for children 17 and under with paid adult admission. There will be hands-on activities, music, performance and special programs for all ages between 11am and 3pm.
The Fleet Science Center will host hands-on Halloween themed activities at the “Earth Exposed” demonstration bar and will also bring out its collection of spooky, live hissing cockroaches! DNA "Mutant Fruit Fly" activities are scheduled from 1pm - 4pm. Visitors will be able to examine mutant flies - and there will be special activities for toddlers in the recently renovated "Kid City" exhibition from 11am - 3pm.
Museum Hours: 10AM – 7PM. Kids
Kids free with paid adult admission (Adults - $10)
