Chalk up great family fun September 25-26, 2010 at Carlsbad ArtSplash on Armada Drive overlooking the blue Pacific. Experience hands-on art-making opportunities, great food, juried fine art, chalk painting, sand sculpting, juggling, live music, stone stacking, family carnival, and Fern Street Circus!
Art from diverse genres will come to life during the two-day festival. First and foremost are the chalk art replicas of famous museum pieces, created by professional and amateur artists right on the street. ArtSplash celebrates the colorful chalk art tradition dating back to 16th century Italy. Watch unique art come alive as artists create amazing, museum-quality replica paintings right on the street!
Free admission. Parking is free and easy. Proceeds benefit arts and music programs in North County San Diego schools.
