San Diego Zoo's Nighttime Zoo
Price: $27-$37
6/26/10 – 9/06/10
Guaranteed to be wild, and probably a little bit crazy, the San Diego Zoo’s Nighttime Zoo festivities begin June 26. The extended hours of Nighttime Zoo – from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. – give guests more time to visit the more than 4,500 rare and endangered animals at the Zoo. Taking full advantage of the long summer days in San Diego, Nighttime Zoo is celebrated through September 6, 2010.
Daily performances include surprise encounters with amazing acrobats dressed as animals as well as Stephen Fishwick’s “Splash!” the explosion of paint and music. Wait to see what animal will come to life on his canvas. The Zoo’s incredible macaw flyover helps to kick off the evening activities, and Nighttime Zoo’s signature bird show, SOAR: A Symphony in Flight, will end the day’s festivities starting at 8 p.m. Don’t forget to watch Dr. Zoolittle, the Zoo’s physician of fun, show off Nature’s Tricks each day at Discovery Outpost.
