Considered the largest single day street faire in the nation, the annual Carlsbad Village Street Faire takes place in May and November each year, attracting more than 100,000 to this seaside city. Over 900 vendors sell everything from clothes, accessories, plants and household products to art, antiques and home decor. An international food court provides dining choices from over 50 vendors and a children's entertainment area includes games, a super slide, a bounce house, a rock climbing wall, face painting and arts and crafts.
The Rotary Club of Carlsbad runs a beer and wine garden with a large screen TV and live bands. The Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad hosts a pancake breakfast at the Carlsbad railroad depot from 7 a.m. to noon, a 25-year tradition.
Park at the Poinsettia Coaster Station or the northwest corner of Sears at Westfield Plaza Camino Real and complimentary shuttles will run to and from the faire.
