One of the oldest and most prestigious equestrian competitions in the Western US, the Annual Del Mar National Horse Show is comprised of a week each of Western, Dressage and Hunter/Jumper competition. Over 3,000 horses take part, representing many breeds, at the equestrian complex at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in coastal Del Mar. Spectators will see reining, spins, sliding stops, elegant dressage moves choreographed to music, daredevil show jumping, trick riders, comedy acts, thrills and spills, and more.
Western Week • April 18–21
The highlight of Western Week is the Night of the Horse, Saturday, April 20, at 7:00PM. This year's theme is The Wild West with returning favorites Tommie Turvey and the One-Arm Bandit!
Dressage Week • April 25–28
Includes qualifying competitions as well as an Evening of Musical Freestyles dressage competition.
Hunter/Jumper Week • April 30 - May–5
Featuring the $100,000 Grand Prix of Del Mar, an evening filled with exciting speed, agility and nail-biting competition!
