The species that are available to catch will depend on the season and the area fished. 1/2 day trips to the local kelp beds provide fishing for Calico Bass, Barracuda, Bonito and Rock Fish. 3/4 day trips to the Coronado Islands in Mexican Waters for the same species with a chance at some yellowtail in season. Full day overnight during the summer is what we are famous for - ALBACORE - Tuna runs - the gamblers fish. We travel from 9 miles to 90 miles off shore in search of migration schools of tuna, albacore, bluefin, big eye, yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, and dorado. Winter fishing in the deep banks for rock cod and halibut.
