The Grand Del Mar is located in coastal San Diego North, just east of I-5, in Del Mar and in close proximity to San Diego International Airport, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, numerous beaches and the villages of La Jolla, Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe.
The resort offers 249 elegantly appointed guestrooms and 31 luxurious suites including a pair of opulent two-bedroom Presidential Suites, five Veranda Suites, 12 Palazzo Suites and 12 Prado Suites. The guestrooms are decorated in an elegant, yet inviting turn-of-the-century style, with dark wood furnishings, crown moldings, stylish light fixtures and earth-toned color schemes.
Embracing the spirit of the Renaissance, the resort's 21,000-square-foot spa symbolizes that bygone era with its emphasis on renewal and rebirth. The Spa features 11 treatment rooms for massage, facials and hydrotherapy, including a couple’s suite. The resort's centerpiece is the Tom-Fazio-designed golf course at The Grand Golf Club. Fazio, renowned for his strong sense of environmental design as well as challenging-but-fair golf, created a 7,160-yard, par 72 course with multiple tees suited to many abilities. The Grand Golf Club is a destination unto itself, weaving like a natural tapestry throughout the resort.
The 50,000-square-foot Clubhouse offers The Clubhouse Grill and Addison, the resort's signature restaurant recently named one of America's "Best New Restaurants in 2007" by Esquire magazine.
