The Old Town San Diego Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit corporation composed of approximately 480 member organizations and businesses.
Old Town San Diego is considered the "birthplace" of California. Old Town San Diego is the site of the first permanent Spanish settlement in California. Over 4 million people visit our community and the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park that preserves the rich heritage that characterized San Diego during the 1821 to 1872 period. The park includes a main plaza, exhibits, museums and living history demonstrations.
Old Town Saturday Market, San Diego's largest weekly artisan market featuring handmade works from local artisans is held every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In September the Old Town San Diego Chamber of Commerce sponsors an Art Festival that features over 150 national and international contemporary artists. The festival is held on San Diego Avenue and throughout Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.
Come and enjoy a stroll through history and visit the original and reconstructed buildings and furnishings that illustrate the ambiance of 1800’s San Diego . . . where California Began!
