As the region's largest fine arts museum, SDMA presents stellar collections, major traveling exhibitions, and a wide variety of cultural and educational programs for more than 400,000 annual visitors. Its nationally renowned collections include a fine selection of European old masters, important American paintings and sculptures of the 19th and 20th centuries, a vast Asian collection, works by masters of 20th-century European modernism, and a growing collection of contemporary art in all media.
