This two day Pride Festival in Balboa Park on July 17, 12 noon to 10pm, and July 18, 11am to 8pm, has become a premier PRIDE event in California. San Diego Pride's famous Festival includes multiple stages of entertainment, vendor booths, an Art exhibit, cultural presentations, and great food! Visit sdpride.org for ticket info. On July 17, 2010 starting at 11:00am the Pride parade travels down University Ave between Normal St. and 6th down to Upas. As the largest civic event in San Diego, this free event has come a very long way since the 1970s. It now embodies 150 floats and contingents from our diverse LGBT community, including our straight supporters, local politicians and community churches and businesses.
