Aegis Academy's basic carbine course is designed to instill the fundamental marksmanship and weapons manipulation skills required to introduce sound firing skills. This course is primarily designed around AR platform rifles, but any magazine fed semiautomic rifle will work. This course is designed for semi-experienced shooters who are new to the carbine platform, or carbine shooters who want to master the fundamentals. Graduation from either an Aegis Academy basic pistol or basic familiarization or any other professional firearms training institutions' course that includes range safety and range procedures is a prerequisite.
