The New Children's Museum is a dynamic new model of a children's museum that provides inventive and engaging art experiences that are meaningful to children and families. NCM brings families together in a rich educational environment that fosters creativity - blending elements of art museum and children's museum.

The Museum stimulates imagination, inquisitiveness and innovative thinking by exhibiting participatory works of art by contemporary artists and providing a venue for art and play to coexist. The Museum empowers children through fun-filled exhibitions, hands-on art making activities, special artistic performances, and educational experiences. Serving all ages, from toddler to teen, NCM inspires new ways to see the world through the language of art.

Across the street from the building is a beautiful park, extending the museum visit outdoors with space for running, climbing, family picnics and a view of the trains and trolley going by. The Museum provides a comfortable and engaging environment for the entire family to enjoy together and think, play, create.

The New Children's Museum faces Harbor Drive and is well positioned near the MTS Convention Center Trolley stop, Seaport Village and the Gaslamp Quarter, making it easily reachable to residents and visitors throughout the region.
