Five Dynasties of Chinese Pottery
San Diego Chinese Historical Society and Museum Price: $2; free for members & children under 12 Description: This exhibit traces Chinese pottery from its humble, utilitarian beginnings to its culmination as an elite art form. The exhibit features representative specimens from the Han Dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE) to Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 CE).
The exhibit opening will be held in the extension building at 328 J Street on Saturday, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. A PowerPoint presentation will be given at 2:00 PM by our Education Coordinator, Alex Stewart. Refreshments will be served at the reception held in the Chinese garden at 404 Third Avenue. Admission is $2 and free for members and children under 12.
