San Diego's dance scene is as diverse as the region. With classical, contemporary, ballet, modern, hip-hop, ethnic and more, local dancers provide a wide spectrum of movement, choreography, excitement and exhilaration. And San Diego dancers are eager to step outside the studio to present dance in unusual places. From site-specific performances on the trolley to hip-hop in the streets, San Diego moves!
The establishment of Dance Place San Diego at NTC Promenade combined with presenting organizations bringing high quality national and international companies to San Diego, hardly a weekend goes by without an exciting dance performance on a local stage or at a neighborhood festival.
