Whether you call it Broadway-West or the West Coast's West End, San Diego has earned its reputation as a premiere and sophisticated theater town. San Diego has sent more shows to Broadway than any other city in America and boasts two Tony® Award-winning theatres. It's why San Diegan's are happy to say, "I saw it here first!"

With over 150 adventurous theatres of all sizes in the area, San Diego's theatre scene is one of the most active, inspiring, cutting edge and creative scenes around. It's easy to put a little drama in your life.  From comedy to musicals, traditional to contemporary, experimental to Shakespeare, it is all here! Many shows are available at half-price through ARTS TIX, San Diego's answer to New York's TKTS booth.
