Museums
San Diego's museums reflect the incredible variety and interests of the region. San Diego County is proud to showcase over 90 museums, representing a wide range of collections from fine arts to transportation, from classics to contemporary and from science to natural history. Over 25 facilities are represented by the San Diego Museum Council and 15 museums are located within Balboa Park, often referred to as "the Smithsonian of the West."
