On November 28th, 2019 join 6,500+ participants and spectators in Balboa Park for the 18th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K! The turkey trot begins at 7:30am!
The Thanksgiving Day 5K generates awareness and funds to help support Father Joe's Villages' efforts to provide and serve over 1 Million Meals each year through our residency and public meal programs.

San Diego's original and longest-standing Thanksgiving Day turkey trot. Join over 6,500 participants and spectators for one of the most family-oriented holiday traditions!
Event offers a Post Race Festival featuring: Live Music, Beer Garden, Kids' Activities and Award Ceremonies. Most importantly, this event provides a great atmosphere to truly give back to others on this holiday of gratefulness.
Proceeds from this event will go towards helping Father Joe's Villages prepare and serve over 1 million meals to our homeless neighbors in need.
6:30AM - Registration opens at Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park & Pancake Breakfast - $5 per plate
6:30AM - Roman Catholic Mass at stage in Plaza De Panama (Optional)
7:35AM - Speedy Turkey (Timed) Race Begins
7:40AM - Fun Runner (Untimed) Race Begins
7:45AM - Registration Closes
8:15AM - Start Line is Closed - NO MORE RUNNERS
8:30AM - Post Race Festival
