Enjoya La Jolla Celebrates Disney's FROZEN

WHAT: March 14 is FROZEN Day in La Jolla Village thanks to Broadway San Diego’s production of Disney’s hit musical running from March 26 - April 12 on the San Diego Civic Theatre stage. 

La Jolla Village will host a free afternoon of Frozen-themed activities: happy hour, spa treatments, games, challenges, entertainment, and a Very Cool Scavenger Hunt. Kids of all ages will search the village for Elsa, Anna, and their magical friends earning prizes along the way! Guests are encouraged to dress in Frozen-
themed attire for a chance to win free tickets to the show!

For more than sixty years, Mother Nature has transformed the rolling hills of North San Diego County into one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world. The nearly fifty acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch in Carlsbad, California, are in bloom for approximately six to eight weeks each year - from early March through early May - literally bringing the famous fields back to life. This annual burst of color, which has become part of the area’s local heritage, also is one of nature’s official ways of announcing the arrival of spring here in Southern California.

Del Mar Racing Season

San Diego horse racing takes place where the "turf meets the surf" at the Del Mar Racetrack. Fans flock to the track each summer to wager on their favorite horses during the popular, annual Del Mar Racetrack racing season, mid-July - early-September. Be part of the magic and nostalgia of this long-time horse race tradition dating back to 1937 when Bing Crosby greeted the first guests, and Seabiscuit won by a nose in the infamous race in 1938. This season features the nation's top racehorses, trainers and jockeys, and plenty of fun in the sun.
