In a continuing effort to further enhance the San Diego International Airport experience for the traveling public, the SAN Arts Program will offer a special Terminal 2 performance by the San Diego Guild of Puppetry in celebration of Dia de los Muertos.
Every season the SAN Arts Program Performing Arts events provide a unique platform to celebrate San Diego’s local culture. The region's diverse talent is presented in dance, theater, and live music, through an ongoing concert series, special performances, and our Performing Arts Residency program.
The San Diego Guild of Puppetry has been creating giant puppet parades in the community since 2004 and its Dia de los Muertos puppets are the creations of Felix Diaz, his family, and his students.
The offerings of the SAN Arts Program surprise and delight travelers with presentations of the highest caliber and showcase San Diego’s rich cultural community. The idea is to provide enhanced customer service by exhibiting artwork and presenting programs that engage travelers in innovative, memorable and considerate experiences, creating an ambiance unique to San Diego and welcoming people to the airport and to the region.
The San Diego Guild of Puppetry produces an exciting array of high quality programs, including performances for all ages by local and touring artists, education outreach programming, and a variety of special events, often in collaboration with other arts, culture and community organizations. The San Diego Guild of Puppetry is the primary resource for the puppetry arts in San Diego County, and will be celebrating their 25th anniversary as a nonprofit in February 2019.
