Enchanted and Endangered / Told by Fairies who Enchant The Forest: a contemporary dance and aerial performance regarding respect for the forest and discovering the beauty, and need for preservation.
Mojalet Dance Collective presents "Enchanted & Endangered" an original contemporary dance & aerial performance that focuses on the environment regarding preservation of forests and respecting nature. This Program is funded in part by Horton Plaza Theatre Foundation, an organization funded by the City of San Diego Special Promotion Programs & The Alfred Sasso Memorial Charitable Trust. The choreography is dynamic, beautiful, and playful reflecting the energy and personalities of the animals, fairies of the forest, and the humans who visit there. The Production is inspired by many stories referencing our environment (such as Furngully: The last Rainforest). The story has an emphasis on preserving the environment so fairies can live forever, and future generations can enjoy the beauty and resources of the forest. The story will be told through dance, aerial work, and dialog referencing fairies from well-known tales, as well as creating new characters. The production is designed for families to find the strength and beauty of the performers engaging for all ages and genders.
