It is often said that in sports, 90% of performance is mental and 10% is physical. Yet many athletes spend a considerable amount of time focused on physical and technical training, leaving little time to attend to one’s mental mindset. Mindfulness is a powerful tool which supports training in the mental component of sports and performance.
In this two-hour class, athletes of all levels from student atheltes to recreational, will learn tools and strategies to take their game to the next level. Participants will experience ways to access focus and attention, reduce stress and anxiety, and choose their response to nerves and difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them.
