Located in the heart of the historic Gaslamp Quarter, The Gaslamp Plaza Suites is surrounded by shopping, theater, art galleries and more than 100 restaurants and night clubs. Built in 1913, this historic hotel was originally built as San Diego's first skyscraper featuring 11 stories of marble, brass, mosaic tile and Australian gum wood. The original architectural aspects are still evident including original marble on walls and stairways, coiffured ceilings, brass elevator doors and Australian gumwood carpentry around the etched glass windows and doors. All are preserved meticulously in keeping with the hotel's status of being listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Enjoy jazz music and a glass of wine in the Syrah Wine Parlor open Thursday through Sunday, Happy Hour 5 to 8 pm or Dip into something different at the Melting Pot, A Fondue Restaurant. The Gaslamp Plaza Suites is close to many of San Diego's famous attractions and the San Diego Convention Center.
