You are invited to be a part of an unforgettable evening of epicurean splendor showcasing the talents of over 25 of the best chefs from San Diego and Baja at the annual Grand Chef Throwdown. The progressive event will bring together local fashionable foodies awarding a People’s Choice Award and a Culinary Council of celebrity top chefs and food critics, awarding the Chef Flor Franco Awards for Culinary Excellence. Guests will gather on The Del’s seaside Windsor Lawn, where they will enjoy chef tastings, both savory and sweet creations, sample craft cocktails and sips from wineries on both sides of the border followed by a three-course gourmet dinner prepared by Executive Chef, Stefan Peroutka in the oceanfront Ballroom, where the culinary awards presentation and program will commence.

Guests will gather on The Del’s oceanfront Windsor Lawn, tasting appetizers from the competing local chefs. Mingle with the Culinary Council as they tally their favorites while you participate in a silent auction.
7:45pm – 9:30pm | Grand Chef Signature Dinner
The program moves inside to the elegant ballroom for a three-course gourmet dinner prepared by The Del's Executive Chef, Stefan Peroutka in the oceanfront Ballroom and a program, live auction and the culinary awards presentation.
9:30pm – 11:30pm | Night CAP After Party (9:00pm is the Night Cap check-in time)
San Diego’s Tomorrow’s Leaders young professional group hosts Night CAP, the evening’s after-party. The ballroom transforms into a dance party and will feature entertainment, desserts, and craft cocktails.
