Liberty Station’s Tree Lighting & Holiday Festivities—Nov. 29| Salute the Season’s main event, the Libery Station Tree Lighting & Holiday Festivities will take place on Wednesday, November 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Gather your loved ones in Liberty Station’s North Promenade for live entertainment from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and then gaze upon the 88-foot Norfolk pine tree as it is lit up by a patient family of Rady Children’s Hospital at 6:15 p.m. Throughout the evening there will be entertainment, shopping and more throughout the neighorhood. Shopping will be set in Central Promenade, next to the ice rink, with local vendors selling holiday goodies, gifts and more.

San Diego Multi-Cultural Festival

The San Diego Alpha Foundation Inc. is excited to host the Multi-Cultural Festival in partnership with the Port of San Diego, Commission for Arts and Culture, the World Beat Cultural Center, Pazazz and many other Community organizations. The Festival is free and open to the public and is being held at San Diego's beautiful downtown waterfront park at the corner of Harbor Drive and Pacific Highway.

The Festival will showcase San Diego's rich cultural diversity and traditional heritage through live music, dance performances, storytelling, children's activities (drum circles, face painting and crafts), and a wide range of ethnic vendors. The Festival will include a variety of multi-cultural entertainment from Native American, Asian, Cajun, Latin, Jazz and Afro-Cuban bands.

Bring your little sugarplums for an unforgettable abridged performance of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker,” performed by the Scripps Performing Arts Academy. Pair every plié with a bite of scrumptious tea sandwiches and delicate French pastries.
