Come sit in a cockpit and experience Marine aviation from a pilot's perspective at the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum!
Cockpits of select aircraft will be open and pilots will be available to answer questions every other weekend during the summer. 2020 Open Cockpit Days are May 23-24; June 6-7, 20-21; July 4-5, 18-19; August 1-2, 15-16, and 29-30.
Every day at the museum see 31 historical aircraft up close at this indoor/outdoor attraction as well as hundreds of artifacts from the earliest days of aviation to present. Kids and adults can strap into an ejection seat, try on a helmet and complete an "I Spy" activity.
The Museum is open Tuesdays-Sundays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm (except federal holidays). Check the website for more information at www.flyingleathernecks or call 858-693-1723.
Admission and Parking are Free.
The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum is aboard Marine Corps Air Station-Miramar. The sentry-free museum entrance is on Miramar Rd., 3.9 miles east of I-805 and 1.3 miles west of I-15. (Look for the Marine Corps and American flags at the entrance.)
