Come sit in a cockpit and experience Marine aviation from a pilot's perspective at the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum! Cockpits of some of the aircraft on display will be open and pilots will be available to answer questions every other weekend from May 25, 2019 to September 1, 2019.
See 31 historical aircraft up close in an outdoor setting as well as hundreds of artifacts from the earliest days of aviation to present day. Open Cockpit Days are hosted every other weekend during the summer through September 1, 2019.
The Museum is open Tuesdays-Sundays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm (except federal holidays). Admission and parking are free. Check the website for more information at flyingleathernecks.org. 858-693-1723.

The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum is aboard Marine Corps Air Station-Miramar. The sentry-free museum entrance is on Miramar Rd., 3.9 miles east of I-805 and 1.3 miles west of I-15.
