Free admission on self-guided house museum tours for kids 12 and under all month long! The Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House is the oldest edifice in the historic Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego. This house has been used as a county hospital, a military barracks, a private residence, and has some Prohibition and WWI espionage history. It is also the only home still standing in which Alonzo Horton, San Diego's Founding Father lived in. Today, it is a museum and each room depicts a different piece of its history.
Self-guided house museum tours last approx. 30 minutes and include a brochure with history on the house and a few past residents.
