Maritime Museum of San Diego has been known for years as the best place on the waterfront to view the annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, which takes place along the north embarcadero.
The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is a time-honored holiday tradition brought to San Diego by the boating community. Continuing its long-standing San Diego tradition, the 48th annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights promises to dazzle and entertain bayfront crowds during the evenings of December 8 and 15, 2019. Participants in this year’s highly anticipated holiday boat parade will decorate their boats to fit this year’s theme, Comic-Con on the Bay. Parade judges will be stationed aboard the Museum’s 1904 steam yacht Medea.
Aboard the Museum’s historic 1898 steam ferry boat Berkeley a delicious dinner will be served and no-host bar will be open on the upper deck from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8 and 15. Tickets are $60 for adults, and $25 for children ages 3-12. Advance reservations are recommended. Children under 2 are free. Tickets to the dinner and parade include Museum general admission.
